Mbuz-kön Vrët (/mbuz/ /co˞n/ [humor; wit] [soldier]) is a subtropical Town located in Nrözduvwa Parish, Nto̠ftǟmǟw District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Mbuz-kön Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Mbuz-kön Vrët was founded by Důch́i Ignun, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Mbuz-kön Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 18°C (64°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 10°C (50°F). Mbuz-kön Vrët receives an average of 189 cm/y (74 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Mbuz-kön Vrët was founded durring the early 17th century in late winter of the year 1631, by Důch́i Ignun. The establishment of Mbuz-kön Vrët was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Mbuz-kön Vrët's construction back out of the project. Důch́i Ignun pushed on reguardles, and Mbuz-kön Vrët was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Mbuz-kön Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mbuz-kön Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Mbuz-kön Vrët is buildings have been located at convienant points along the cliff Mbuz-kön Vrët was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the crampt flagstone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town lacks any defencive features, though certainly constructing even a simple fence or digging a ditch is at the forefront of the 's mind. At least, one would hope so.

A look around Mbuz-kön Vrët gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Mbuz-kön Vrët acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Cultural Notes

Mbuz-kön Vrët's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In Mbuz-kön Vrët sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

Mbuz-kön Vrët was unknowingly built atop something unstable, and now that substrate is crumbling. It may be swampy ground or a decaying coastline, or it could be an ancient buried city that’s now giving way. History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Mbuz-kön Vrët experienced an impossibly long, cold, and stormy winter unlike anything seen before. The worst of the disaster struck The storm coated everything in a thick layer of ice and freezing countless animals, plants, and people to death. Mbuz-kön Vrët lost 209 people, and 205 livestock in the disaster.. The disaster is remembered as the Doom Screams, after the sounds of the winds.

History
